Moisture from sweat can also contribute to blister formation, as it softens the skin and creates high-pressure areas.

To prevent blisters and other foot problems, it's essential to wear shoes that fit properly and provide adequate toe room for spreading and gripping actions. Additionally, runners should be aware of any irritating seams or enclosures that cause skin friction and take steps to minimize this friction.

Other common foot problems experienced by runners include plantar fasciitis, shin splints, and stress fractures. These conditions can occur when the feet are subjected to repetitive strain and trauma from running, and can lead to chronic pain and discomfort if left untreated.
